NASMS system costs less, but the rockets are roughly 2x as expensive, which makes it a lot more costly in prolonged attacks. Although it has the benefit of visual guidance w/o radar, to avoid reader signature detection. The IRIS-T is a more modern system with better rockets and range, but they need the radar. So a mix of both is probably good, with a higher quota of IRIS-T SLMs and a smaller quota of NASMS for versatility

Guess both have a very high success rate. IRIS-T is about 98%. The only goal is to keep Ukraine sky clean... and both are very successful. If I am right in counting, Ukraine has much more 4D Radar trucks then IRIS-T SLM Systems. So, if they could combine both the may protect even more territory.

The difference between the two that people dont know is that jassm is a fire and forget cruise missile, meaning you dont have to put a set path for it, so that means it can find its own target to hit if the enemy target have moved...the russian cruise missile still use the old presset path to hit one station target.
